Thinkpad W700

One can never complain about a new labtop, and being a fan of IBM.. this particular model is a desktop replacement, with 4gb of ram, a rather powerful gfx and processor, i think it might even surpass my own desktop.. the unique factor of this model is.. that.. it comes with a wacom pad!!.. for all your graphical editing needs!!(and others)... bad thing..

this costs more than the DSLR.. ranging about 5-6K sgd.. sigh.. keep dreaming...

Well.. she's not exactly hot.. but she does Le Parkour, that's a cool factor!! I think she's a main character from the new uprising game, Mirror's Edge, where you are a courier in a controlled world, jumping from roof to roof.. vents to ceilings, buildings to buildings in First Person (Youtube Mirror's Edge to find out what i meant!) i'm actually looking forward to it.. seems rather good.. but in order to play it.. it's either i steal a playstation 3 from somewhere.. or upgrade my computer.. ha.. damn.. looks like it's just another dream..Est Game Pricing (79.90 for PS3, 64.90 for PC )..

My Autobiography

I’m just that any other stranger that you meet down the street, with a normal face, normal haircut (not applicable now) , this stranger has a normal family size, a set of parents, and an elder sister sibling. With 2 years apart in age, no pets and living in a private apartment in the west side.

His education levels spans a long way from his N’ levels, followed by a NITEC certificate in Infocomm Technology, while excelling to a Poly of his choice and graduating with a Diploma of Multimedia and Infocomm Technology with networking as his specialization. His grades isn’t exactly top grading, but in fact was deemed acceptable. Although he major in IT, he initially wanted to study Nursing, as he has a sense of helping people in peril. Although he fosters his love for IT, he wishes to obtain a Nursing Cert or at least a First Aid License during his lifetime.

While everyone has a cool or trendy hobby, like dancing or clubbing, this stranger prefers his introvert hobbies such as reading, photography and IT related stuff, while also participating in vigorous activities such as Basketball, rugby and BMX before his Knee injury. Shortly after his basketball injury, he gradually begins to stop participating in this sports activities and move on to mundane hobbies like still photography and amateur image designing. His other hobbies consist of collecting things of all sorts, ranging from books, posters to things like figurines and comics, making him some what of a geek. That being said, it’s tough for this stranger to actually communicate with people around him, making it an obstacle he must overcome himself throughout his years.




When it comes down to music, nothing beats more than Alternative rock, Emotion, or generic 80’s rock, he listens to Western bands like “Theory Of A Deadman” , “Rev Theory” , “Trustcompany” and also Eastern Rock Bands like “Monoral”, while he is rather keen into music, he doesn’t play an instrument probably due to the fact that his tone deaf, but he inspired learn how to play a guitar, and eventually into Bass, as the desire for low, mono but colorful tunes a bass can create does wonders to the ears to calm both the soul and heart.

While believing that “his body is a temple” he avoids alcohol and smoking like it’s the plague itself, this is also another factor that makes communication tougher as most of the youths around him are either into one of each or both. While believing his body is a temple, he had long forgotten about his weight and gradually gain mass in all the wrong places. Thus, beginning from a sacred temple it has now turned into a ruined temple.

No one likes to be bound by restrictions, but not everyone has a choice to be unbind from, this stranger personally hates been bound by restrictions where they have no control or little power to do anything about it. He believes there should be a workaround in all situations, but when he fails to find a solution, he tends to break down mentally in some aspect. But with this common saying, he somehow manages to find a belief of sorts to last him through the days. As far as the common saying goes. It’s just simply….. “What To Do!?”

His plans for the future are rather straightforward, to work as a freelance photographer, or to work under an IT firm, if the capital permits, he would want to set up either a restaurant under the wing of his close buddies, or an extreme sports shop also under the wing of his close buddies, he has other dreams of opening a comic/book/photography café/shop, where readers of all sorts can chill and discuss about what they read and sorts, and photographers can just loiter around with tidbits on shooting locations and sorts, but with this kind of plans and the lack of capital, it’s just a dream he tells himself before he sleeps every night. He also plans to have a farther education, perhaps a University of his choice, in either Computer Science or something along those lines, but that choice has been delayed, nevertheless, he’ll have to keep that option open.

But with all that said, his is somewhat of a homely person, although outgoing at times, if he were to choose to between a mass outing and a homely excursion, the latter choice will always dominate the other. That being true, he still hangs with his close friends frequently when possible as he values his friends. He keeps his close friends close as he has a problem making new friends, friends who understand him, rather than friends who know him for other obvious reasons. Although that is another matter.

All in all, the biography about this stranger lies completely on the fact, that there are people that are like this that exist in this world, with weird hobbies, attitude, and introvert and completely strange. Just like that stranger you just walked pass.

few good points about being in the police
we get to bring camera phones
memory devices(except psp)
our uniform is blue( well this is only better until the army receives their digital camo(ARGH!!))
the camp is somewhat near my house.. hah
it's on the mainland!! (no more journey to the west for me when i book out!!)

and the fact that..

it's the police!!

no one can say no to you, unless higher ranker or what nots!!

Conscript!!

It's finally here, the day of being conscripted into the local defense force..

although i dread this day, i have been mentally preparing myself since leaving secondary school..
guess it isn't enough, i still hate this day, the lack of freedom, the indescribable torture, the pain of leaving things behind(not that i have much to leave behind) and well.. the thought of wasting two years of my life for something that seems.. really bonkers in my opinion.

i just have to say.. for someone who implement national service, he sure doesn't know the pain of going through it..

damn you grandfather!! :P

so.. here's a farewell to you.. from me..
i'll keep this blog up and alive..
by blogging weekly.. or setting a pre post for that day to come...

Yuki Tuesday!!

Before i hit the sacks.. i thought i took photos and review a little about this latest treasure figurine i've got recently :P

she totally replaced my bikini saber's positioning!! erm.. on my desk. :P hah..

the finishing of the figurine isn't that bad.. without much defects, though there are spots here and there but you really can't blame mass producing for that..

A little about this figurine..
Yuki has both her right index fingers and her left thumb stuck in.. rather interesting places..
one's in collar neck of the swimsuit.. and the other as at..the..
erm.. bottom region of the swimsuit..

i'm guessing.. swimsuits can be rather warm eh?..heh..

mm sparkling...

And there's Yuki's thumb in the bottom region.. venturing into the depths of the unknown.. hmm hmm.. :P, the details of the swimsuit are rather crisp to the max.. and also others :P..
can't expect less from Alter figurines.. although they are rather costly..
can't wait to get my hands on the Haruhi figurine from Alter too..

for now.. i still have my figma Yuki to experiment with!.. hahah
too many figurines.. so little time..

back to being emo.. my time is very limited now.. hah..

the lighting for this shoot, wasn't the best.. with one ceiling light.. i can't do much... but thanks to a handy torchlight.. i manage to get some orange lighting in..
i'm still having problems with my camera's white balance settings.. kinda irks me sometimes.. giving me an undesirable coloring.. in some cases.. the figurine looks fairer than normal.. or worse..
well, at least with all this fooling around, i mean.. playing with the camera. i've learned some new effects.. such as lens blurring while the shutter is open for that.. "oh angelic" type of effect.. :p
but i need a new lens!! a macro lens.. my standard 18-70mm 3.5A lens ain't cutting it with macro shots with bad lighting..
guess it's time to save the army pay!!..
where art thou my new lens.. or camera :P..
an a700 or 900 would be lovely..

tsk.. for now.. a macro lens would be nice..

A View To The Distance!

Hanged out with Mark and Anqi today ( once again, been an interference to their date XD ), we caught "Eagle Eye" the movie, an action/thriller movie starring Shia Labeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Billy Bob Thornton,

As far as action shows goes, this movie has it's fair amount of car chases, chases, gun fights, evasion and what nots, and as far as the thriller plots goes, it's fairly good, with it's sub predictable plot, you'll definitely see some scenes that has been copied but altered to this story line.. such as the "mastermind" enemy, the car vs aerial vehicle scene.. the show isn't just about action, but a little political on war and stuff.. i'm not too technical on this stuff.. so.. watch the movie and find out :P

but overall, it wasn't that bad.. so..i'll cut to the synopsis..

I think aside from the kiss scene, the movie is actually quite good, with a reasonable cast, lots of smash and bang, reasonable script (didn;t like who the mysterious caller really is, thought it was some terrorist group), explosive audio!!(almost went deaf!! but love the effects!!) and the fact that, technology really isn;t safe from everyone.. even the government themselves are probably watched!!.

So if you wanna watch a movie this weekend, and prefer not to wait for Max Payne, 20th century boy or not considering to watch ABBA's musical movie, Mama Mia, try catching this one. It's not a movie for a Date(unless you happen to have a tech/nerd chick!!) but it sure is fun if you have geeky friends who likes action and predicting how the story goes!!

Be careful, the eagle eyes are out there!
