Guang Zhou
Time : Morning
Location : Guang Zhou
Attending : Attractions
Dear Diary...
We woke up late..with the window curtain closed, we actually thought it was about 7am in the morning, when it was actually 9am..
you know the feeling when you see day light the first thing in the morning?
after hiding in a darkcold room..
think that, but after sleeping on a hard bed.. instant flashbang to our eyes..
We were forced to wake up.. :P
We checked out of the hotel in order to bunk in with the rest in their apartment, save us 300 yuan..
Headed down to the apartment, where we met Jo.. when we arrived, she just got out of the bathroom!.. guess we ain't the only one who woke up late =P
After which, we decided on the first attraction to head to, since we already wasted most of the morning..
We decided to head down to one of Guangzhou's Park.. Yue Xia Park, with an amusement park, swimming pool, flower gardens... attractions.. and it isn't too far from our apartment, hence we won't waste too much time on locating it.
It might look small, but the park is rather pretty much huge.. i can say, we clocked about 4-5 kilometeres, and we didn't complete the whole park..
First thing, the three of us notice in the park.. most of the population there was mostly old folks.. it's like some type of hang out area for them..
so, say you're one of them.. and you have to pay 5 RMB everytime you enter..
and you go there everyday.. in a year.. you'll probably pay quite alot..
365 * 5 = 1825 Rmb
1825 Rmb / 4.9 = 372 SGD.
we're actually guessing that they have this membership thing.. you know.. free day passes for 500 rmb a year or something.. but we never did ask..
We passed some areas and sights along the way..
here are some..
I'm not sure what the first one is.. but i'm pretty much such the second one says..
amusement park..
We didn't go to the amusement park.. so we decided to amuse ourselves.. with photos..
here.. we have mark..and jo.. erm.. i'm not sure what we did.. amusing ourselves..
Along the way, we spotted.. this group of old folks hanging out!.. literally hanging in between trees on their hammocks!.. man that is the life!.. when i'm old and pruned.. i'm going to botanic gardens to do just that.. hang out..
Our first stop is an exhibition on the history of GuangZhou.. during the dynasty periods...
What GuangZhou looks like from a bird's eye view...
Shoulder Pads of a once great king..
Honestly.. it's just bells..
Apparently, we chinese.. are not very good in handling..
bowl-wares..
what they used during the time where steam engine wasn't introduced.
A Bell inscribed with chinese characters, legends have it, that when a kid in that particular village refuses to learn the mother language, the kid will be place in the bell, and the teachers will strike the bell rapidly until the kid agrees to learn the language.
will you actually believe that? ;)
i won't.. :P
What the brit's left behind, after leaving China, Guangzhou, along with many others..(no images to show, sorry)
Outside the building, there are other exhibits, such as this one..
Now, who won't love cannons..
Even Mark can't resist to stick his head into one!
Let alone riding one...
We found an old tram bus on the other side of the main building...
when i said old.. i really meant it.. it looks like it could turn into sawdust
any minute.. but we decided to take a shot inside it...all three of us..
one emo photo..
End Of Part1
next part, another museum?, lunch and home?
till then guys..
cheers..
