Somehow, Somewhere

I thought, i'll schedule this post to keep some thoughts of entering the Police..

few good points about being in the police
we get to bring camera phones
memory devices(except psp)
our uniform is blue( well this is only better until the army receives their digital camo(ARGH!!))
the camp is somewhat near my house.. hah
it's on the mainland!! (no more journey to the west for me when i book out!!)

and the fact that..

it's the police!!

no one can say no to you, unless higher ranker or what nots!!

Conscript!!

It's finally here, the day of being conscripted into the local defense force..

although i dread this day, i have been mentally preparing myself since leaving secondary school..
guess it isn't enough, i still hate this day, the lack of freedom, the indescribable torture, the pain of leaving things behind(not that i have much to leave behind) and well.. the thought of wasting two years of my life for something that seems.. really bonkers in my opinion.

i just have to say.. for someone who implement national service, he sure doesn't know the pain of going through it..

damn you grandfather!! :P

so.. here's a farewell to you.. from me..
i'll keep this blog up and alive..
by blogging weekly.. or setting a pre post for that day to come...

off i go..

and for you who don;'t know what i got into..

i'm serving the boys in blue.

i hope to see you on the streets :P

Yuki Tuesday!!

Before i hit the sacks.. i thought i took photos and review a little about this latest treasure figurine i've got recently :P

yes.. she's the banner girl of the month!! :P

The swimsuit version of Yuki!! woot..
she totally replaced my bikini saber's positioning!! erm.. on my desk. :P hah..

oohh.. look at them eyes..

Yuki's in this kneeling position with hands at pinpoint positions..(look at photos later)
the finishing of the figurine isn't that bad.. without much defects, though there are spots here and there but you really can't blame mass producing for that..

A little about this figurine..
Yuki has both her right index fingers and her left thumb stuck in.. rather interesting places..
one's in collar neck of the swimsuit.. and the other as at..the..
erm.. bottom region of the swimsuit..

i'm guessing.. swimsuits can be rather warm eh?..heh..

mm sparkling...

And there's Yuki's thumb in the bottom region.. venturing into the depths of the unknown.. hmm hmm.. :P, the details of the swimsuit are rather crisp to the max.. and also others :P..
can't expect less from Alter figurines.. although they are rather costly..
can't wait to get my hands on the Haruhi figurine from Alter too..

coming out on nov.
personal b.day gift to myself..hahaha

for now.. i still have my figma Yuki to experiment with!.. hahah
too many figurines.. so little time..

back to being emo.. my time is very limited now.. hah..

can anyone say? "muse - time is running out?" :P

the lighting for this shoot, wasn't the best.. with one ceiling light.. i can't do much... but thanks to a handy torchlight.. i manage to get some orange lighting in..
i'm still having problems with my camera's white balance settings.. kinda irks me sometimes.. giving me an undesirable coloring.. in some cases.. the figurine looks fairer than normal.. or worse..
well, at least with all this fooling around, i mean.. playing with the camera. i've learned some new effects.. such as lens blurring while the shutter is open for that.. "oh angelic" type of effect.. :p
but i need a new lens!! a macro lens.. my standard 18-70mm 3.5A lens ain't cutting it with macro shots with bad lighting..
guess it's time to save the army pay!!..
where art thou my new lens.. or camera :P..
an a700 or 900 would be lovely..

tsk.. for now.. a macro lens would be nice..

...sigh..rant.. rant.. :P

A View To The Distance!

Hanged out with Mark and Anqi today ( once again, been an interference to their date XD ), we caught "Eagle Eye" the movie, an action/thriller movie starring Shia Labeouf, Michelle Monaghan, Billy Bob Thornton,

As far as action shows goes, this movie has it's fair amount of car chases, chases, gun fights, evasion and what nots, and as far as the thriller plots goes, it's fairly good, with it's sub predictable plot, you'll definitely see some scenes that has been copied but altered to this story line.. such as the "mastermind" enemy, the car vs aerial vehicle scene.. the show isn't just about action, but a little political on war and stuff.. i'm not too technical on this stuff.. so.. watch the movie and find out :P

but overall, it wasn't that bad.. so..i'll cut to the synopsis..

I think aside from the kiss scene, the movie is actually quite good, with a reasonable cast, lots of smash and bang, reasonable script (didn;t like who the mysterious caller really is, thought it was some terrorist group), explosive audio!!(almost went deaf!! but love the effects!!) and the fact that, technology really isn;t safe from everyone.. even the government themselves are probably watched!!.

So if you wanna watch a movie this weekend, and prefer not to wait for Max Payne, 20th century boy or not considering to watch ABBA's musical movie, Mama Mia, try catching this one. It's not a movie for a Date(unless you happen to have a tech/nerd chick!!) but it sure is fun if you have geeky friends who likes action and predicting how the story goes!!

Be careful, the eagle eyes are out there!
